Cootes Veterinary Clinic is an award-winning, independently-owned practice based in West Sussex. It’s headed up by two full-time vets, Ros and Sue, who are supported by a team of experienced nurse assistants and an orthopaedic surgeon.
They introduced Premier Pet Care Plan to help owners ensure their pets are given the best possible care, offering great discounts throughout the year on vaccinations, worming and flea treatments, and six-monthly health checks. Plus, all members receive 10% off any treatments, food and pet accessories bought at the practice.
To date, 856 pets in total are on the plan, which represents over 50% of their active client base. The introduction of Premier Pet Care Plan and its associated discounts has also helped the veterinary clinic to increase sales of pharmaceuticals and food products.
Sales of Advocate flea and worm treatments increased by 60%; Profender topical solution for the treatment and control of hookworm, roundworm and tapeworm sales increased by 262%; and food sales went up by 25% in the first year with PPCP.
This equates to overall business growth of 12% in the first year. More importantly, over half of the practice’s active clients are now receiving the very best treatment for their pets and ensuring they receive essential routine care throughout the year.
